1. What are your office hours?

Our office is operational Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Our Code Enforcement Officer, Jerry Mizgorski, is only in the office Mondays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tax collection hours March 1 - April 30 Mondays 3:30-5:30 PM and Wednesdays 9:30-11:00

2. What building code does Middlesex Township enforce?

Middlesex Township currently enforces the ICC Codes identified in the Uniform Construction Code as adopted by the legislature for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is commonly referred to as Act 45 of 1999 or the UCC Code.

3. What are the regulations for a septic system and who enforces them?

On-lot septic systems are regulated by the Pennsylvania State Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Each municipality in the state is required to employ or contract with a DEP licensed Sewage Enforcement Officer (SEO) for enforcement of the DEP regulations. The Middlesex Township SEO is Michael Corle. Michael can be contacted by telephone at 412-600-5813.

4. What days do the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, and Park Board meet?

First Wednesday at 3:00pm - Board of Supervisors' Work Session 
Second Wednesday at 6:30pm - Park Board
Third Wednesday at 6:30pm - Board of Supervisors' Regular Meeting
Fourth Wednesday at 6:30pm - Planning Commission

 Additional meetings are advertised as necessary.

5. Who do I call for the dispatch of police, fire or emergency medical services?

You must call 911 anywhere in Butler County.

6. Is there a "leash law" in Middlesex Township?

Yes. All dogs and cats must be under control of their owners and they are not permitted to run free.

7. Are cats permitted to run free?

No. They must be under control of their owner.

8. What rules apply to the curfew?

No one under the age of 17 is permitted in or on any public street or parks between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian or going to or from work, school or church activities.

10. Where can I obtain a Middlesex Township Map?

Maps are for available at the Township Municipal Building. A Township Zoning Map can be downloaded from the website.

11. Are dirt bikes or all-terrain vehicles permitted to operate on private property?

No one is permitted to operate a dirt bike or a quad on private property without the permission of the landowner. To enforce this prohibition, the property should be posted, with a No Trespassing sign. If the property is not posted, police intervention must be requested by the landowner. It is not sufficient for a neighbor to complain about the activity.

12. Who do I call when I observe a dead or injured animal on the roadway?

Dial 911 for any request for a public safety response. The dispatcher will notify the proper agency.

17. Can I request public records from Middlesex Township?

Public records, Middlesex Township resolutions and ordinances, and other information can be requested by submitting the Records and Information Request Form to the Administration Office.

18. Can tax payments be dropped off anytime?

A tax office drop box is located at the front doors of the municipal building, payments can be dropped off 24 hours a day.  Please leave a postage paid envelope if you wish to receive a receipt.
