Financial Information

Middlesex’s Township's municipal charter requires its governing Board of Supervisors to enact a balanced budget each year - which for us is the same as the calendar year.

 

This section includes a summary of the Township's current budget, a discussion of the budget process, and a description of the various taxes we collect.

 

Briefly:

Our budget includes, in addition to normal township operations, revenue and expenses from 15 different funds.

 

Our General Fund budget for municipal operations in 2010 is $1.2 million

 

For municipal operations, our largest source of revenue is from our Act 511 taxes: .5% Earned Income, Realty Transfer, and Emergency Municipal Services

 

Our next largest source of revenue is from our 12 (9 General, 1.5 Fire and Debt, respectively) mill property tax

 

Our workforce includes 10 full-time employees, and one part-time employee
